Judicial Efforts were Made to Serve and Safeguard the Construction of the Nanjing Area of the China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the construction of national pilot free trade zones, the fourth anniversary of the establishment of China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the beginning of the three-year action plan to enhance the free trade zone. Nanjing Maritime Court, along with Nanjing Intermediate People's Court and the People's Court of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, take the initiative to assume responsibilities. The three courts implement precise strategies in multiple dimensions and jointly serve and support the construction of the Nanjing area of the China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

On September 21st, the inauguration ceremony of the Nanjing Maritime Court's circuit trial point was held at the People's Court of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area. On the ceremonyNanjing Intermediate People's Court and Nanjing Maritime Court jointly announced 15 judicial measures to support and safeguard the enhancement of the Nanjing Area of the China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone. The measures include establishing a collaborative platform, strengthening professional exchanges, integrating intelligent trial systems, expanding dispute resolution platforms, refining procedures, and innovating trial mechanisms.

On the ceremony, ten representative cases of supporting and safeguarding the construction of the China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone were jointly released by Nanjing Maritime Court and the People's Court of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area. These cases include disputes such as multimodal transport contract disputes, maritime freight agency contract disputes, time charter contract disputes, and disputes related to marine and inland waterway insurance contracts.

After the ceremony, a trial hearing of a maritime freight agency contract dispute case was held in the newly established circuit trial point, the hearing was presided by judge Hua Yujun, the president of Nanjing Maritime Court.
