The New Site of Lianyungang Dispatched Tribunal of Nanjing Maritime Court Launched

On Dec 6, 2023, Nanjing Maritime Court held the opening of the new site of its Lianyungang dispatched tribunal. The heads and representatives from various sectors of Jiangsu province attended the ceremony.

Li Zhenfeng, the member of CPC Lianyungang Standing Committee and the Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of Lianyungang, and Hua Yujun, the president of Nanjing Maritime Court, delivered speeches at the ceremony. Li said Lianyungang city would strengthen cooperation with Nanjing Maritime Court to improved the law-based business environment of the city. Hua expressed his appreciation to all parties that have supported the development of Lianyungang dispatched tribunal of the Court. He pointed out that Nanjing Maritime Court would take the launch of the new site of the  dispatched tribunal as a fresh start, actively perform its duties in accordance with law, strengthen its responsibility, and strive to promote the Court’s work to a new level.

At the ceremony, the diversified dispute resolution center of Lianyungang’s court for foreign-related commercial and maritime disputes , and the Lianyungang non-litigation service sub-center for the Belt and Road were also launched.

After the ceremony, Nanjing Maritime Court held a colloquium and a press conference. At the colloquium, Yu Xuming, the chief judge of the Lianyungang dispatched tribunal, briefed the work of the tribunal to the NPC deputies of Jiangsu province, CPPCC members of Lianyungang city and the representatives of enterprises and medias. Li Bin, the executive vice president of Nanjing Maritime Court, presided over the meeting and gave responses to the suggestions of the participants.

At the press conference, Yang Changshun, the vice president of Nanjing Maritime Court, briefed the work of the Court in 2023 to the medias. Tong Deqing, the chief judge of the Taizhou dispatched tribunal of Nanjing Maritime Court, issued the Nanjing Maritime Court Report on Judicial Services to Support the Development of the Shipping and Ocean engineering Equipment Industry. The typical cases involving the Belt and Road Initiative that handled by Nanjing Maritime Court and three other courts in north Jiangsu were also released to the medias.
